Ethiopia Amaro Gayo Washed

Asnakech Thomas is the only female miller and exporter in the whole of Ethiopia. Owner of the Amaro Gayo Mill and 250 hectares of coffee farmland, Thomas might very well be the most inspiring figure in her community. By producing, milling and exporting the coffee herself, she can export her own coffee at will, thus keeping her high-quality coffee separate from lower quality lots.

Until now, the Amaro Gayo that we have offered has been of the sun-dried process. Now you have a chance to taste the Amaro Gayo through the lens of the washed process. The Amaro Gayo Washed has a subtler fruit character of mild lime, and is supported by a mouthfeel that is out-of-this-world soft. The fragrance of sugared lavender translates to a sweet floral finish that makes this coffee uniquely approachable. It’s one of those coffees that lives up to your immediate impressions, and stays true from hot to cool.
