It's called French Roast, but the roasting style — as dark as it comes, rich with coffee oils and flavor — comes from the deep south of Italy. More than any of our blends, French Roast is the canvas of our Master Roaster, who constantly adjusts the mix and blends the beans before roasting them. The flavors meld and mingle in the heat of the roast, creating a long, smooth stretch limo of a coffee. This is the blend that will stay up all night with you while you write your next novel.

About Gimme! Blends

Each of our blends starts with an idea. Sometimes we're inspired by a craft beer or fine wine; sometimes we want to showcase an outstanding bean or create our own version of a traditional blend. Our Master Roaster takes this idea into the cupping room, where we spread out a palette of single-origin beans. The blend comes together like a puzzle, piece by piece. First comes the anchoring base note; next we choose the high note and finish. Finally we tune the proportions to bring the whole mix into balance, so that no one flavor dominates. The resulting blend is greater than the sum of its parts.
