The Asociación Chajulense Val Vaq Quyol (“Only one voice”) is a cooperative founded and run by Mayan farmers of the Ixil region. By producing and selling high-quality coffee, textiles, and other organic products, these farmers have helped to realize their vision of sustainable development for their community, encompassing ecological, economic, social, and cultural justice. This year's harvest is juicy, with red apple, plum, and rose-petal flavor.

Fair Labor Practices The Asociación Chajulense sponsors a broad array of fair labor, social justice, and cultural preservation initiatives. These initiatives include Fair Trade certification; a pledge to invest a minimum of 10% of profits in education and health projects; cultural values and development projects for the indigenous Maya culture; promoting women's participation at all levels; and encouraging democratic community leadership of the cooperative.
Habitat Preservation Agricultural production is organic, which answers to the Maya cultural concept of “working the land without violence”, or in harmony with nature.
