Our fourth harvest from Finca Hartmann is now available! Three generations of the Hartmann family have a hand in daily operations at the Finca Hartmann, a innovative farm in the Volcan region of Panama. They've set aside much of their farm as a dedicated preserve for old-growth forest, which saves bird habitats and encourages biodiversity. Their unique honey processing method, in which some of the coffee cherry's pulp is left on the beans as they dry, gives the coffee an incredibly sweet flavor and juicy body. This year's harvest is characteristically honeyed, with unique flavor notes of almond praline and cherry.

Origin Facts

Sustainability

Fair Labor Practices Finca Hartmann has a history of strong relationships with the workers on the farm, largely seasonal employees of the indigenous Ngobe-Bugle tribe of Panama. Workers are well-compensated and enjoy some of the most beautiful housing in Panama, some of which is nestled right in the heart of the cloud forests at Ojo de Agua.
Habitat Preservation Shade trees help to make a habitat for the hundreds of species of birds, mammals, and reptiles that co-exist with coffee at Finca Hartmann. The subject of studies by the Smithsonian Institute and other wildlife organizations, Finca Hartmann has been embracing and protecting biodiversity on its land for many decades.
