so, you can recommend this product for grinding beans fresh for stovetop espresso, french press, etc? how will it compare with other electric burr grinders?

Hi Will! I use this Grinder for French Press and Pour Over at home, it is awesome for both of these methods, but will certainly grind fine enough for Stove Top. The only issue is that is does take slightly longer to crank it all through on a finer grind. This grinder is adjustable, and you can lock in particle size, but there aren't any numbers or settings on the adjustment screw, so there is some trial and error involved finding the right particle size for your method and personal taste. If you are switching back and forth between a French Press and a Sotve Top daily it might take a little getting used to. As I said I have two preferred methods at home, and it didn't take long for me to get used to the back and forth.
I'm actually enjoying French press much more with with this grinder, drinking it more frequently and liking the taste better. Way less suspended particles (non water soluble solids) than with blade grinder. Hooray!.
