Vintage Photos from Panama

hartmann1.jpgEscape your cubicle!  Run away from your boss!  Wheeee!  Don't these 1970s pictures from the Hartmann family make you want to seek challenge and adventure?  Okay, so creating a coffee finca isn't merely a jaunt in a jeep, but some days the thought of living closer to the land and being self-sufficient has its appeal.  We received the snapshots with our shipment of the delicious Panama Hartmann Honey.  I think that might be Ratibor Jr. in the back with a snack.
hartmann2.jpgGot a great email from a customer today.  Megan in Virginia wrote:

"I am so happy to find Finca Hartman coffee that I can buy online.  My local source dried up about a year ago.  My husband and I were lucky enough to study migratory birds on the Hartman's property for several winters.  They are a warm, wonderful family and we think of them often, but have only been able to go back to visit once.  I loved seeing the pictures of Tibor and the finca.  Thanks!"

I guess that completes the circle of farmer to roaster to consumer.  As if it wasn't clear already, it's a small world after all.
