Skaters, Bikers Set Up Camp O'Ramp Next to Gimme

What's the proper verbiage?  Diamondz!  Dag!  East Shore Skate Park is now open, right out behind our Lansing espresso bar in a reinvented factory space.  I'm definitely a poser with a camera so I had a hamster of a time shooting x-games in the dimly lit warehouse.  The young gent pictured above and his bros kept flying by my face in the dark.  I promised Ben that I would come back in a couple weeks to capture some serious shreddage for a photo gallery.  Meanwhile I'll try to learn the camera.  They'll add heat and continue the buildout.

My toes got frosty standing around the Skate Park, so I resumed Sunday ritual back in front of our stove.  Could we run a moka pot on that?

flag.jpgWord has it that Josh Sperling, graphic artist and Gimme barista, is going to paint his American flag (pictured hanging in the cafe) in mural proportions on the back wall of the skate park.  Contact ESSP if you want to dress up their wallspace with a mural of your own.

This short BMX video gives you a sense of the ramp dynamics.  And you know (if you're 30+) you can't resist a little Eye of the Tiger.
