Gimme Makes Debut in Washington at African Diaspora Inaugural Ball
We had the remarkable pleasure of donating coffee to the African Diaspora Inaugural Ball, hosted by the African Diaspora for Change, held on January 18, as part of the inaugural celebrations in Washington.
Our Master Technician, Tomas, ran into his friend and native Ithacan Regan Carver, Co-Chair for Sponsorships, last weekend. Conversation about the Ball ensued and the next day our Roastery was roasting & packing 600 half-pound bags of our organic Ethiopia Sidamo for the elegant guest gift bags.
We were graciously given two tickets to the Ball, but we couldn't attend, so we asked Ryan Jensen of Peregrine Espresso, located on the Hill, to attend on our behalf.
Our local Ithaca Journal ran a story about the event and our donation this past weekend. Kevin said, "Like many we are excited about the mere possibility of change in Washington, and we're glad to have the opportunity to add to the excitement by putting our coffee in the hands of some prominent luminaries."

I know I'm late in commenting, for which I am sorry, but I just wanted to let you know that I worked at the African Diaspora Inaugural Ball and took home one of the gift bags because it smelled so deliciously of coffee. Little did I know that I was going to fall completely in love with the coffee once I had a chance to try it! I'm totally won over. Unfortunately, I'm not a prominent luminary, but I do love the coffee and I've been touting it to everyone who comes to my house for breakfast. Yum!! I'm glad you visited us down here!!!
