A New Temperature Control Mod for Mirages
Kees is now offering a needle valve assembly which can be installed in the thermosiphon loop on the Mirage. (If you're unfamiliar with how heat exchanger espresso machines work, here is a primer.) The adjustment screw allows the operator to easily control the water flow-rate between the boiler and the group head, thus controlling the extraction temperature at each group.

-one full turn upwards 92

- Please note these are approximate indications only.
- The temperature measured inside the coffee bed also depends on the rate of the extraction flow (faster flow results in a higher reading, slower in a lower reading).
- The above results were found with the pressurestat adjusted to 1.3-1.4 bar, water level inside main boiler at standard level, shots of 60cc (2 ounces) in 25 seconds, machine body fully closed, short flush of 20cc before every shot, 45 seconds between shots.
