Original Gimme to Be Remodeled; Color Scheme Unknown
Published Jan 1, 2008
Way back around Y2K, we launched Gimme! Coffee on a quiet corner in Ithaca, NY. The "World-Class Neighborhood Coffee To Go" thing caught on pretty well and we've opened new locations. Now it's time for a little home improvement.
Cayuga Street Renovation
This winter we're remodeling our first home for better traffic flow, seating, and ergonomics. You'll know we've started when you see a curtain go up behind the espresso bar. During construction:
- Tables in the back will be unavailable, so...
- We'll keep the front and outdoor seats in action
Thank you all for bearing with us while we make all that dust.
Behind the Curtain
The biggest change? We'll be moving the espresso bar to the back of the store and tweaking the floor plan for better ergonomics and traffic flow. While we're at it, we'll be adding:
- Improved seating
- Tin ceiling
- Environmentally-friendly natural linoleum floors
- Vintage, art-deco hanging lamps
- ...and more.
We're still finalizing our plans (color scheme included), so stay tuned for updates.
A Fresh Look
We may be lavishing attention on Cayuga Street right now, but don't worry we haven't forgotten our other locations. We just finished a quick remodel at our Brooklyn espresso bar, and we're contemplating a fresh look for State Street, too. We'll let you know more as it happens.
