Reflections: 4 Years Ago Today in Trailerville
By Jeff Katris | Mar 23, 2009
Four years ago today, we were neck deep in the Gimme Trailer build.
I say "we" but the only thing I did was film the builders.
Never did make the movie, but I have 4 hours of footage at 29.97 frames per second.
Or 431,568 stills.
Lauren Hammond, artisan woodworker, routs out the window frame.
Kevin and Tomas observe from this side of the glass.
It's snowing sawdust.
Routing can be fun.
Eventually we found wheels for the Silverado and towed her into the Ivy League. She had Cornell University thinking under the influence of espresso. One day, time came to pick up stakes.
Now she's looking for a home. Do you know a place with massive foot traffic and an underserved population of espresso-lovers? Somewhere in the Northeast? And a contact person in charge of said location? Do tell!
