Team Gimme Bikes Again!

At 6am on a rainy Saturday morning, the 18 members of Team Gimme (along with their motorcycle safety gang and their canine fan club) were already up and running.

Kevin got up early to pull shots for the whole team at Cayuga Street.

Let the ride begin! This was Team Gimme's sixth time participating in the AIDS Ride for Life. This year, with help from many supporters and sponsors, Team Gimme raised over $10,000 to support the Southern Tier AIDS Program.

Mimi says: "The first hour or so was wet and chilly but once we got up the first two big hills in Lansing and made it safely to King Ferry, our legs were warmed up and it seemed that the weather just might be in our favor, despite the heavy cloud cover."

"The 100 or so miles of pavement that we traveled over the next ten hours went by quickly. Before we knew it, we were getting massages at Cass Park and leaving on the victory ride to Stewart Park where dinner awaited us."

"It was a great day to ride and several teammates surpassed their own expectations, most riding the full 100 miles."
