On snowy Sunday we packed our bags and headed south to Scranton. We braved the weather to do what we love: talk about and share coffee! We were headed to Northern Light Espresso Bar a Gimme wholesale account located in downtown Scranton. We wanted to get to know our comrades in coffee a little better.

We pulled lots of funky shots, doing things wrong to challenge rules we've been taught. We came to a consensus about why we put such care into every shot. It was great working with a team of Baristas who were so passionate about what they do.
We had a little time to play with milk and show off latte art, always a fun time.
This is a lovely tulip poured by our own James Neidhardt. He was happy to have some time to practice, as he's competing in the Millrock Latte Art Competition next weekend, where he will be going head to head against forty extremely talented baristas. Good luck James!
Liz is going to compete using our Guatemala Santa Elena. This coffee makes the sweetest cappuccinos I've ever had. Her performance is really coming together and I'm looking forward to when she gets to show it off in Boston.
This was the perfect way to spend a snowy winter day. We made new friends, learned new things, and shared our love of all things coffee. Thanks for hosting a great event Northern Light! If you are ever in Scranton, you should check these lovely folks out.
