The Skinny on Skaneateles Bakery

Skaneateles Bakery has been a Gimme regular since early 2006. Located on the north end of Skaneateles Lake and an easy hour's drive from Ithaca, the bakery has carved out a nice place for itself amidst the classy shops and beautiful residences of this resort town.

Owner Sam Mason had no question whose coffee he wanted to serve when moving there in 2005. He grew up in nearby Homer and went to Cornell University, as did his two children, so Gimme's reputation was well-known to him.

Just a block off East Genesee Street, the main drag in Skaneateles, the bakery serves fresh coffee and espresso but also makes beautiful and delicious pastries, as well as sandwiches to order.

The pièce de résistance is the cake donuts, made fresh daily. Seriously scrumptious.
