Local Organic Milk

Published November 2007

Our upstate espresso bars are now serving fresh local organic milk from the Evans Farmhouse Creamery, a small family farm in Norwich, New York.

Evans Farmhouse Creamery

The Evans' pasture-raised, rBGH-free cows produce the most delicious dairy we've tasted. Milk goes from cow to cooler fast and gets trucked only 65 miles to Ithaca — burning less planet-choking fossil fuel and keeping money in the local economy. Cheers to a sustainable relationship with local farmers. And cows!

Upstate Locations

In our upstate locations, you don't need to ask for organic milk in your drinks. We're serving all local organic milk, all the time. That was the best way we could see to really make this sustainability move happen. Milk is a big deal in a coffee shop — we use more milk than coffee. So we're really motivated to move to local organic milk.

NYC Locations

Organic milk is available upon request (for a charge) in our Brooklyn and Manhattan espresso bars. We haven't yet found a way to work local organic milk into our basic NYC prices, but as soon as we figure it out, we'll be on it. For now, organic milk is on the menu so please ask for it if that suits you.
